Kigali, January 21st 2012- Bralirwa Plc announces today an ex. factory price increase on all Bralirwa Plc soft drink products.

The price increase on these products has been implemented to cover input and business costs following the increase of transportation and raw materials costs.

Bralirwa Plc would like to draw the public’s attention to the fact that the price on soft drink products has not changed since 2008 while the price of the Company’s beers has changed several times; in order to cover its business costs, Bralirwa Plc has to adapt its prices on soft drinks accordingly.

Bralirwa Plc’s new recommended retail price for Soft Drinks will be 300 Rwf per bottle.

“An integrated communication plan will be put in place to inform our customers and consumers. We will also distribute new tariff lists with the recommended retail prices to all relevant outlets in the various sales channels to assure the respect of our recommended fair prices for our consumers” said Jan van Velzen the Bralirwa Plc Marketing and sales Director.

In order to maintain a fair price level for its consumers, Bralirwa Plc will continue to invest in various marketing activities, such as promotions, sponsorships and many others.
